Riverview was founded as a Bariatric hospital in January 2004, dedicated to providing innovative and effective weight-loss surgery to patients throughout our region. As our patients transformed their lives through successful bariatric procedures, they looked to Riverview for services to compliment that success. Our patients had become accustomed to Riverview’s personalized care and spa-like atmosphere, and they wanted to complete their transformation in our facility. For that reason, we added plastic surgery, performed by Dayton’s leading board-certified physicians. This combination of high quality medical care, attentive service, and attractive, comfortable surroundings resulted in Riverview attracting more patients and additional specialties. The Dayton Laser Spine Center was added, followed by Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, and Interventional Radiology.
